# Join an existing workspace

> Find and join Tella workspaces that match your work email, or send a request to the workspace owners.

You can find other Tella workspaces that match your work email from the workspace switcher. Tella only shows matching workspaces that you have not joined yet.

## Find a workspace

1. Click your **workspace name** in the top left corner of the sidebar.

2. Hover over **Workspaces** in the dropdown menu.

3. Click **Join or create workspace**.

4. Find your team's workspace, then click **Join** or **Request to join**.

## What happens next

* **Join:** You are added as a Member and Tella switches you to the workspace immediately. This option appears for verified workspaces and workspaces that allow people with a matching email domain to join automatically.
* **Request to join:** Tella sends your request to the workspace owners. The workspace shows **Request sent** until an owner accepts or dismisses it.

<Note>
  Joining is based on your work email domain. If you use a personal email address, such as Gmail, Tella cannot suggest matching workspaces.
</Note>

## If you cannot find your workspace

Click **Create a new workspace** if your team does not have one yet. Otherwise, ask a workspace owner to [invite you](/docs/help/admin/invite-a-new-member-to-your-tella-workspace).
