# Set default video permissions

The Security page in your workspace settings lets you control default access permissions for new videos. For embedding restrictions, see [Default embed domains](/docs/help/admin/default-embed-domains).

<Info>Only workspace **owners** can access these settings.</Info>

To configure defaults, click your **workspace name** in the top-left corner, then go to **Settings** → **Security**.

## Default video access

Controls who can view new videos by default. When a member of your workspace creates a new video, it will automatically use this access level.

| Option | Description |
| ------------------------ | -------------------------------------------------- |
| **Private (only me)** | Only the video creator can view the video. |
| **Anyone with the link** | Anyone who has the video link can view it. |
| **Workspace members** | Only members of your workspace can view the video. |

Members can still change the access level on individual videos after creation. This setting only controls the default for newly created videos.

## Listed in workspace

When default video access is set to **Workspace members** or **Anyone with the link**, you can choose whether new videos are automatically visible to all workspace members in the shared video library.

* **On** — New videos appear in the workspace library for all members.
* **Off** — New videos are not shown in the workspace library.

This setting is hidden when default video access is set to **Private**.

## Default workspace role

When default video access is set to **Workspace members** or **Anyone with the link**, you can set the default role that workspace members have on new videos:

* **Viewer** — Members can watch the video but cannot make changes.
* **Editor** — Members can edit the video.

This setting is hidden when default video access is set to **Private**.
