# Notion integration

Tella integrates with Notion through Document Generation. Record a video and use AI to create a document from it, then save it directly to your Notion workspace as a new page - no copying and pasting required.

## Connect Notion

1. Go to **Settings** → **Integrations**.

2. Find the **Notion** card and click **Connect**.

3. A new tab will open asking you to authorize Tella in your Notion workspace. Select the pages you want Tella to access, then click **Allow access**.

4. Once authorized, the Notion card will show a green **Connected** badge.

To disconnect, return to **Settings** → **Integrations** and click **Disconnect** on the Notion card.

## Save a document to Notion

1. Open a video that has a transcript.

2. Go to the **Ask** tab.

3. Type a prompt in the **Document generation** panel (for example, "Write a summary of this video" or "Create meeting notes"), or click one of the suggested prompts.

4. Once the AI generates the document, click the **Create…** dropdown button.

5. Select **Save to Notion**.

Tella will create a new page in your Notion workspace. A toast notification will appear with a link to the page. The page also opens in a new tab automatically.

## What gets created in Notion

The Notion page includes:

* An **embed of your Tella video** at the top of the page, so viewers can watch the original recording.

* The **full AI-generated document** below the video, converted into native Notion blocks (headings, paragraphs, lists, code blocks, and more).

The page title is automatically set from the first heading in the generated document. The page is created at the root of your Notion workspace — you can move it to any location in Notion after it's created.

## Troubleshooting

### Connection needs to be refreshed

If you see a warning that says **"Your Notion connection needs to be refreshed"**, this means the authorization token has expired or was revoked from Notion's side. Click **Reconnect Notion** to re-authorize, or go to **Settings** → **Integrations** and reconnect from there.

### I don't see the Save to Notion option

The Notion integration is available for workspace members. Make sure you are part of a Tella workspace and that the integration has been enabled for your account.
