# Is Tella down? 500 errors and 'Serverless Function has crashed'

> What to do when you see 500: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR, FUNCTION_INVOCATION_FAILED, or videos won't load for anyone.

If Tella suddenly shows an error page like:

* **500: INTERNAL\_SERVER\_ERROR**
* **This Serverless Function has crashed** / **FUNCTION\_INVOCATION\_FAILED**
* Videos failing to load for you **and** your viewers at the same time

these errors come from Tella's servers, not from your browser or computer. Clearing your cache, switching browsers, or using incognito mode won't fix them.

## Check the status page first

Go to **[status.tella.com](https://status.tella.com)** to see whether there's an ongoing incident. If there is, we're already on it — service usually recovers shortly, and no action is needed on your end. Your videos and recordings are safe; an outage doesn't delete anything.

## If the status page shows no incident

A server error on a single page can occasionally be transient:

1. Wait a minute and reload the page.
2. Try opening a different video or page — if everything else works, the problem may be specific to one video.
3. If the error persists on one specific video or page, contact support via the in-app chat or [support@tella.com](mailto:support@tella.com) and include the **full error text** and the **link** to the affected page.

## How this differs from other errors

* **"Application error: a client-side exception has occurred"** — that one *is* browser-related; see [Client-side exception error](/docs/help/troubleshooting/client-side-exception-error).
* **"Something went wrong"** inside the app — see [Something went wrong error](/docs/help/troubleshooting/something-went-wrong-error).
