Insert a clip in the middle of your video
- Open your video: Launch the Tella editor and open the video you wish to edit.
- Place the playhead: Move the playhead to the exact point where you want to insert the new clip (click or scrub on the progress bar under the video).
- Split the clip: In the clip strip at the bottom, open the menu on the clip (right-click it, or click the ⋯ button) and choose Split at current time. You now have two clips.
- Add the new clip: Record or upload the video you want to insert using the Add clip button at the end of the clip strip. It will be added at the end of the timeline.
- Move it into place: Drag the new clip’s thumbnail and drop it between the two halves.
Replace a section of your video
To replace a section instead of just inserting, remove the unwanted section before dropping in the new clip:- Split twice: Place the playhead where the unwanted section begins and choose Split at current time, then do the same where it ends.
- Delete the unwanted section: Select the middle clip and press Delete.
- Insert the replacement: Add your new clip with the Add clip button and drag it in between the two remaining clips.
