To create a workspace, click your workspace name in the top left of the sidebar, click Join or create workspace, then Create a new workspace. Each workspace has its own billing, members, and videos, so projects, teams, or clients stay separate.

When to create a new workspace

Creating a separate workspace is useful when you want to:
  • Keep videos for different clients or departments separate
  • Manage billing independently for each team
  • Set up different members and permissions per project
If you only need links on another domain, add a custom domain instead. See Should I add another custom domain or create a new workspace? Creating a new workspace does not affect your current workspace. All your existing videos, members, and settings remain unchanged.

Create a workspace

  1. Click your workspace name in the top left corner of the sidebar.
  2. Click Join or create workspace below the workspace list at the top of the menu.
  3. Click Create a new workspace.
  4. Enter a Workspace name (for example, your team or company name).
  5. Click Create workspace to confirm.
Once the workspace is created, you are automatically redirected into it.

Does a new workspace need its own subscription?

Yes. Each new workspace starts with a 7-day free trial of Tella Pro. After the trial ends, subscribe in that workspace to keep using it.

Who owns a workspace I create?

You do. You are the Owner of any workspace you create and can invite members from Add & manage members.

Is there a limit on creating workspaces?

Yes. You can create up to 3 new workspaces per hour.

Switch between workspaces

  1. Click your workspace name in the top left corner.
  2. Click the workspace you want from the list at the top of the menu. The current workspace has a check mark next to it.
If you have many workspaces, scroll the list to find the one you want. You can also switch from the editor or video page by opening the dropdown arrow next to the logo in the top left and selecting a workspace.
