Comments

Comments allow viewers to leave feedback and questions on your videos, creating opportunities for engagement and collaboration. Video creators can control whether comments are enabled and manage all feedback in one place.

Enabling Comments

As a video creator, you can enable comments for your video:

  1. Go to the Share tab

  2. Navigate to Viewer Settings

  3. Toggle on Comments

Once enabled, viewers will see a comment button and a comments tab when watching your video.

Leaving Comments

Viewers can leave comments in two ways:

Regular Comment:

  1. Click the comment button

  2. Type your comment in the text field

  3. Click Reply to post

Timestamped Comment:

  1. Navigate to the specific moment in the video where you want to comment

  2. Click the comment button

  3. Click the clock icon to add a timestamp

  4. Type your comment

  5. Click Reply to post

The timestamp will be noted in your comment, directing others to that exact moment in the video.

Interacting with Comments

  • Replying to Comments: Click reply on any comment to respond and create a threaded conversation.

  • Adding Reactions: Click the reaction icon to add an emoji reaction to any comment.

  • Editing Comments: Click edit on your own comment to make changes, then save your updates.

  • Deleting Comments: Click delete to remove your own comment from the thread.

Comment Notifications

Video creators receive email notifications whenever someone leaves a comment on their video, ensuring you never miss viewer feedback.

Managing Comments as a Creator

As the video creator or editor, you have additional moderation capabilities:

  • View all comments left on your video

  • Reply to any comment

  • Delete any comment (including those from other users)

  • See when comments were posted

Anonymous Comments

Viewers who are not logged into Tella will appear as "Anonymous" when they comment. You can still reply to, react to, or delete these comments.
