Animation Style
Adjusting animation styles in Tella
The way your video feels on screen can make a big difference. Sometimes you want your video to be quick and energetic, while other times—like in a tutorial or lecture—you may prefer a slower, more relaxed pace. Tella makes this easy with animation styles, which control the speed and feel of transitions in your video.
What are animation styles?
Animation styles determine how transitions (such as zooms or layout changes) appear on screen. By adjusting the style, you can influence the pacing of your video.
Choosing an animation style
Open your project in the Tella editor.
In the Animation Style dropdown, select from Gentle, Moderate, or Snappy.
The chosen style will apply to all transitions in your video.
How each style works
Gentle: Transitions happen more slowly. For example, zooms will ease in and out at a relaxed pace. Perfect for educational content or walkthroughs where clarity is more important than speed.
Moderate (default): Offers a middle ground, keeping the video engaging without feeling rushed or too slow.
Snappy: Transitions are fast and punchy. Ideal for short demos, social content, or any video where you want to keep the momentum high.
Tips for picking the right style
Match the tone of your content: A lecture or tutorial usually benefits from a slower, gentler pace, while a product teaser or social clip might feel stronger with snappy transitions.
Experiment: Don’t hesitate to try different styles to see which fits your content best.
By customizing animation styles in Tella, you can better control the rhythm and energy of your videos—making them feel polished, intentional, and perfectly suited to your audience.
