Mirror (or flip) your camera
Using the mirror feature in Tella to flip your camera recording
Tella’s mirror feature allows you to flip your camera layer horizontally in your video. This can be particularly handy if, after recording, you decide you’d prefer to be facing the opposite direction.
Flipping your camera horizontally
Open your video in the Tella editor.
Select the clip where you want to flip the camera layer.
Navigate to the right-hand toolbar.
Scroll down to find the Mirror Camera option.
Click on Mirror Camera.
You’ll see the camera layer flip horizontally immediately.
Applying the mirror effect to multiple clips
Per Clip Basis: The mirror effect is applied on a per-clip basis. If your video has multiple clips and you want the camera layer flipped in all of them, you’ll need to repeat the process for each clip:
Navigate to the next clip.
Repeat the steps above.
Tips and considerations
Consistency: Ensure that you apply the mirror effect to all relevant clips to maintain visual consistency throughout your video.
Visual Elements: Be cautious if your camera layer includes text or logos, as flipping the image will also mirror these elements and may render them unreadable.
Reverting the Effect: If you decide to revert the flip:
Simply click the Mirror Camera option again to return to the original orientation.
By using Tella’s mirror feature, you have the flexibility to adjust the orientation of your camera layer even after recording, helping you achieve the desired visual effect without the need to re-record your footage.
